McDougall Creek Wildfire - EVACUATION ORDERS for Smith Creek Subdivision
West Kelowna, B.C. – Given the potential danger to lives, and to ensure health and safety, the City of West Kelowna has issued an EVACUATION ORDER for the Smith Creek subdivision. This excludes 3184 Shetler Drive.
When evacuating, follow directions from emergency personnel as public safety and the protection of critical infrastructure are the primary concerns.
Evacuees should register online at https://ess.gov.bc.ca and can then attend the Information Centre at Royal LePage Place, 2760 Cameron Road in West Kelowna.
Residents can refer to the interactive map on cordemergency.ca to search by street address if they are unsure whether they are affected.
All other evacuation orders and alerts remain in place.
Roads are closed within Evacuation Order areas.
Unless you are evacuated or require emergency or essential travel, please stay off roads to keep them clear for evacuated residents and first responders.
