Scott Crescent Fire - News Release #2

West Kelowna, B.C. – The Emergency Operation Centre advises that the Scott Crescent Fire has been extinguished and evacuations rescinded.  

The fire burning since approximately 11:30 a.m. in a forested area below Scott Crescent grew to under 2 hectares in size and prompted the evacuation of 9 properties in the area. The nine properties evacuated earlier today are 1825, 1837, 1849, 1851, 1887, 1903, 1911 Scott Crescent and 1923 Spyglass Way. Residents of these properties are now allowed to return home. 

Over the coming days, residents can expect to see fire personnel in the area as they mop up the fire. 

For their safety, members of the public are also asked to stay out of the fire-affected areas and to obey all warning and hazards signs. 

The Emergency Operations Centre is now closed.
