Portion of Evacuation Order Downgraded for Munro Lake Wildfire
Peachland/Regional District of Central Okanagan, B.C. – A portion of the Evacuation Order due to the Munro Lake Wildfire has been downgraded to an Evacuation Alert, with some residents able to return home but asked to be prepared to leave with short notice.
The following Peachland addresses remain on Evacuation Order and should leave their properties immediately:

- 5321 Princeton Ave to 5436 Princeton Ave
No Regional District of Central Okanagan properties are on Evacuation Order.

Firefighting efforts today established structural defences on the east flank of the fire, closest to residential properties. Emergency responders will patrol the fire overnight and will resume firefighting efforts Saturday morning.
No further changes to Evacuation Orders or Alerts are anticipated this evening.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU ARE ON ALERT:
- Locate all family members and designate a meeting area outside the evacuation area, should an Evacuation Order be called while separated.
- Pack essential items such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers (e.g. insurance, credit, and mortgage information), immediate care needs for dependents and, if time and space permits, keepsakes for quick departure.
- Prepare to move persons with disabilities, children and/or neighbours, if assistance is needed.
- Prepare to take pets with you and move livestock to a safe area (if possible).
- Arrange transportation for all your household members. Fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles.
- Arrange accommodation for all members of the residence, if possible.
- Wait for an Evacuation Order to be issued before evacuating. Monitor cordermergency.ca for information on evacuation orders and the location of Reception Centres.
Emergency Support Services (ESS) ready for Evacuees
For online support, people needing assistance during an evacuation are encouraged to create a profile online at ESS.gov.bc.ca. People who have created a profile can log into the online self-service registration tool to receive instructions on the types of support available and how they can be accessed.
For in-person support, the muster centre in Peachland will reopen at 10 am on Saturday, September 27 for evacuees who cannot meet their own needs.
