Operational Update - Munro Lake Wildfire
Peachland/Regional District of Central Okanagan, B.C. – The Emergency Operations Centre is open to support the emergency response for the Munro Lake Wildfire. No structures have been lost in the fire. The Emergency Support Services muster centre is open at the Peachland Community Centre offering drop-in services and support for evacuees.
Evacuation Alerts and Evacuation Orders remain in place. To determine if you are in the evacuation order or alert area, search your address in the detailed map at cordemergency.ca. Residents on Evacuation Order should leave their property immediately. Residents on Evacuation Alert should be prepared to leave their properties with short notice.
Emergency Support Services (ESS) is ready for Evacuees
For online support, people needing assistance during an evacuation are encouraged to create a profile online at ESS.gov.bc.ca. People who have created a profile can log into the online self-service registration tool to receive instructions on the types of support available and how they can be accessed.
For in-person support, the muster centre in Peachland is open today Saturday, September 27 for evacuees to provide drop-in services and support.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU ARE ON ALERT:
- Locate all family members and designate a meeting area outside the evacuation area, should an Evacuation Order be called while separated.
- Pack essential items such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers (e.g. insurance, credit, and mortgage information), immediate care needs for dependents and, if time and space permits, keepsakes for quick departure.
- Prepare to move persons with disabilities, children and/or neighbours, if assistance is needed.
- Prepare to take pets with you and move livestock to a safe area (if possible).
- Arrange transportation for all your household members. Fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles.
- Arrange accommodation for all members of the residence, if possible.
- Wait for an Evacuation Order to be issued before evacuating. Monitor cordermergency.ca for information on evacuation orders and the location of Reception Centres.
Emergency response personnel request that the public:
- Avoid the area so emergency responders can effectively perform their duties
- Call 911 in case of emergency
- Find up-to-date information, including a map, and to sign up for e-updates, visit EOC email updates
