Kelowna Reception Center hours

Starting Thursday August 3, Kelowna Reception Centre hours will be changing. BC residents evacuated due to wildfire can register or apply for renewal of assistance at the Kelowna Reception Centre from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 12:30-3 p.m. on Sundays.

All people on Evacuation Order must register at the Reception Center to receive assistance.

The Kelowna Reception Centre is located at 1480 Sutherland Avenue. The centre has registered 1,436 evacuees since opening in mid July.

Emergency Management BC requested the Regional District of the Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre provide temporary group accommodation for evacuated BC residents. Emergency Social Services is prepared to accommodate in excess of 1,000 evacuees at locations in Kelowna and West Kelowna if required.
