Evacuation Alert continues for Brenda Creek wildfire News Release 4
News Release No. 4 Central Okanagan, B.C. – The Evacuation Alert remains in place until further notice for properties within a portion of the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area of the Regional District of Central Okanagan due to the Brenda Creek wildfire.

Should conditions change requiring an Evacuation Order, those impacted should be prepared to leave their property or recreation campsite with short notice.
In addition, residents of Peachland, West Kelowna, Westbank First Nation reserves #9 and #10 and portions of the Central Okanagan West electoral area that receive electrical service from BC Hydro, should consider steps they need to remain safe in the event of any extended power outage due to the wildfire.

The next update from the Central Okanagan Emergency Operation Centre is anticipated at approximately 12 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, July 16).
The Emergency program reminds all Central Okanagan residents that they should know the risks of potential emergencies, make a plan and prepare grab and go kits in the event they are required to leave their homes for at least 72 hours.
