Clifton McKinley Wildfire - Evacuation ORDER: Rio East to Upper Canyon

Kelowna, B.C.  – Because of the potential danger to life and health and safety, the City of Kelowna has issued an EVACUATION ORDER for the following properties. Residents on Evacuation Order must leave the area immediately for their safety and the safety of first responders in the area: 

  • Properties off Clifton near Rio Drive east to Upper Canyon including: 

  • BOPPART CRT 

  • CLEAR POND CRT 

  • CLEAR POND PL 

  • CLIFTON RD (inclusive of properties 109-333) 

  • CLIFTON RD NORTH (inclusive of properties 109-185) 

  • ECHO RIDGE DR 

  • GRAINGER RD 

  • LEDGE ROCK CRT 

  • LOST CREEK CRT 

  • RED ROCK CRT 

  • RED SKY CRT 

  • RIALTO DR 

  • RIO DR (inclusive of properties 1252 to 1285) 

  • ROCKY POINT DR 

  • RODONDO PL 

  • SHEERWATER CRT 

  • SKY CRT 

  • SKYLAND DR 

  • SUMMER WOOD DR 

  • TERRACE DR 

  • TRIPLE TREE PL 

  • UPPER CANYON DR (inclusive of properties 205-306) 

  • UPPER CANYON DR North (inclusive of properties 109-195) 

  • WILDEN DR (inclusive of property 2-198) 

  • WILDEN RIDGE DR 

 

Follow directions from emergency personnel as public safety and the protection of critical infrastructure are the primary concerns at this time. 

Evacuees should register online at https://ess.gov.bc.ca and then attend the Information Centre at Prospera Place, 1223 Water Street in Kelowna or your nearest centre

Residents can refer to the interactive map on cordemergency.ca to search by street address if you are unsure whether you are affected.  

All other evacuation orders and alerts remain in place. 

Emergency response personnel request that: 

  • Those on evacuation alert must pre-register at https://ess.gov.bc.ca/ ahead of time for Emergency Support Services should an Evacuation Order be declared.  

  • The public avoid the Evacuation Alert areas so emergency responders can effectively perform their duties 

  • Only call 911 in case of emergency

Roads are closed within Evacuations areas.
