The Central Okanagan Emergency Operations centre was activated in response to the heat warning issued by Environment Canada.
The Peachland Maranatha Wildfire is under control and fire officials have deemed the area safe for the public. Effective at 6:30 p.m., the Evacuation Alert has been rescinded for all properties in the Maranatha area of the District of Peachland.
With the flooding threat having passed, the Emergency Operations Centre is no longer operational. Crews are in the final stages of removing the few remaining flood protection measures. Cleanup efforts are expected to be complete by end of day Friday, June 29, 2018.
The Finlay Creek fire is affecting residents in both the Central Okanagan and the South Okanagan.
