Glenmore Highlands evacuation alert

The Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre has been activated to support BC Wildfire Service crews fighting a fire in the City of Kelowna. A local state of emergency has been declared.

City of Kelowna has issued an extension to an existing Evacuation Alert for the following Glenmore Highlands properties:

  • 3850 Glenmore Rd
  • 4000 Glenmore Rd
  • 4100 Glenmore Rd
  • 3790 Glenmore Rd N
  • 3950 Glenmore Rd N
  • 4240 Glenmore Rd N

Residents on evacuation alert should be ready to leave their properties at anytime.

Residents under evacuation alert should pre-register at https://ess.gov.bc.ca/ ahead of time for Emergency Support Services should a evacuation order be declared. Residents who are out of their homes can register online or report to the reception centre to receive any assistance.

Emergency response personnel request that the public:

  • Avoid the area so emergency responders can effectively perform their duties
  • Please only CALL 911 in case of emergency
