As well, Westside Road is expected to open for two-way traffic by early afternoon. The area will remain an active worksite and people are asked to use extreme caution when driving through the fire area as they may encounter fire and utility crews.

Bear Creek Main Forest Service Road is closed to all traffic except for local residents. BC Wildfire Service will allow the resumption of traffic when it is safe.

Bear Creek Provincial Park remains closed at this time. Information regarding the status of Bear Creek Provincial Park can be found at: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/bear_crk/.

Hiking trails in the area will remain closed due to the ongoing fire suppression effort.
